Dr. Simon Touchan, DMD, MD, FRCD(C)

Dr. Simon Touchan obtained his dental degree from McGill University and his medical degree from Wayne State University. After completing a certificate in General Surgery, he went into his specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Michigan.

Upon completion of his residency program, he remained on staff at the University of Michigan providing surgical correction for patients with facial trauma, head and neck pathology, facial deformity, TMJ and sleep apnea.

Additionally, Dr. Touchan also served as director in several of the undergraduate dental school courses and co-director of the graduate head and neck anatomy and orthognathic surgery courses for the department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Orthodontics.

Dr. Touchan then went on to receive additional postgraduate training in Head and Neck Oncology and Microvascular Surgery at the University of Michigan.

Dr. Touchan is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a licensed Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in Alberta. He has clinical privileges at all the Calgary hospitals.

Dr. Touchan has been in practice in Calgary since 2011 where he performs full scope office and hospital based oral and maxillofacial surgery procedures. He performs elective surgeries at the Peter Lougheed hospital and covers facial trauma emergencies for the greater Calgary area.

Dr. Touchan is a clinical lecturer at the University of Calgary Medical School and is actively involved with the oral surgery training of the general dentistry residents at the Foothills dental clinic.

Dr. Touchan is happy to be serving the community in the Calgary area.
